Lewis & Clark College is seeking an experienced and forward thinking Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid to lead the undergraduate admissions and college-wide financial aid programs. Responsibility for recruitment will be linked closely with goals for improving graduation rates. The responsibilities of this position have been expanded to include oversight of financial aid. The new Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid will draw on the professional expertise of a strong and committed staff in both areas to build upon the successful record of the previous Dean in attracting and enrolling top students from across the country and around the world.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication and analytical skills, along with an extensive record of success in directing and motivating staff and working collaboratively with faculty, coaches, alumni, students and other offices on campus. He or she must understand the strategic use of financial aid to meet institutional as well as departmental and programmatic goals. Expertise in molding each entering class, as well as a passion for liberal arts education and an understanding of national demographic trends and economic issues are required. Knowledge of enrollment-related technology and social media are expected. Experience recruiting student-athletes to a Division III institution will be a plus. An advanced degree is preferred.
