Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, seeks a creative and strategic leader to serve as its next Vice President for Enrollment Management to build upon current successes and introduce new approaches to increasing enrollment and recognition for the University. Reporting directly to the President and serving as a member of President’s Council, the Vice President will provide leadership in designing enrollment management and related marketing plans, and will inspire others to work together in achieving university-wide enrollment goals.

Qualifications: Candidates should have substantial senior-level experience with contemporary enrollment management practices, including integrated marketing and branding, effective enrollment planning, retention, predictive modeling, data analysis, financial aid leveraging, and web-related recruitment strategies. A demonstrable record of success in recruiting graduate students, undergraduates and international students is essential, as are excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. An advanced degree is preferred.

The University: Chatham University is a private, nonsectarian, comprehensive university whose enrollment has quadrupled to more than 2,300 graduate and undergraduate students since 1994. The University is ranked in the top tier of Master’s institutions in the Northern United States and has been described as “bold, uniquely dynamic, vibrant and forward thinking.” The Pennsylvania Department of Education wrote that “Chatham’s agility and flexibility are exemplary and courageous” and praised “the fine work that the leadership and community of Chatham have achieved and will yet accomplish in the years to come.” The Middle States accreditation team described Chatham as dynamic, creative and daring, and “as a place of strong intellectual values joined with an impulse for innovation that has made it possible for Chatham to make smart choices about new programs and developmental opportunities.”

Founded in 1869, Chatham University has a chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, is a member of NCAA Division III, offers accelerated degree programs and a rich culture of campus traditions. The grounds are beautiful and well-kept, and include the Shadyside Campus, with Chatham Eastside and the historic 39-acre Woodland Road arboretum; and the 388-acre Eden Hall Farm Campus north of Pittsburgh, which will become a model for sustainable living and learning for the 21st century. A new $10 million science complex, an $18 million athletic and fitness complex and a $4.5 million investment in technology are tangible signs of Chatham’s focus on the future. For more information on Chatham, visit www.chatham.edu.

Location: Chatham is located just minutes from nine other universities and downtown Pittsburgh. Twice named “America’s Most Livable City” and also listed among the “Top Ten Cleanest Cities in the World,” Pittsburgh is recognized for having an ideal mix of beauty, sophistication, intellectualism and fun. You’ll find world-class health facilities; more than 500 arts and cultural organizations; a comprehensive network of biking and hiking trails, and three rivers for fishing and boating; more parks per capita than any other major U.S. city; and an exceptionally low cost of living.
