The University of Findlay (internal announcement) December 18, 2012 Dear Colleagues:
I am delighted to announce the appointment of Rebecca Butler as Vice President for Enrollment Management, effective January 22.
Rebecca comes to us with more than 13 years of higher education experience, most recently serving as Sinclair Community College's State Project Director, Ohio Cadre for the Gates Foundation Completion by Design grant. Prior to that role, she held concurrent positions as the Dean of the Learning Centers and the Senior Director of Marketing for the college. While in these roles, Rebecca created the college's first integrated marketing and strategic enrollment management plan for the college's three new regional centers. Her efforts resulted in a growth of 3,000 new students since the centers' opening five years ago. She was also responsible for strategic marketing, recruiting and communications for the entire Sinclair Community College system, made up of more than 25,000 students, six locations, and a robust online program. In this role, she led the effort to stop a multi-year enrollment decline. Most recently, new students for fall 2012 increased 16% over 2011.
Rebecca has leadership experience in the development of all facets of enrollment management, including registration, financial aid, advising, retention, and academic program planning. In addition, she has served as an adjunct faculty member for Sinclair, teaching marketing and communication courses.
She holds a bachelor of science in journalism from Ohio University, a master of business administration from the University of Dayton and is working toward a Ph.D. in higher education administration from Ohio University.
All the best,
Katherine Fell President The University of Findlay
