David Mabe has been named Director of Scholar Selection at The Morehead-Cain Foundation, home of the prestigious merit scholarship program that covers four years of all expenses to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A North Carolina native, Dave most recently served as Associate Dean of Admissions at Bowdoin College in Maine, where he led an admissions website redesign, coordinated multimedia and social media outreach, conducted student interviews and evaluated applicants for admission. He spent one year as a Policy Research Fellow for the New England Board of Higher Education and, prior to that, worked in admissions for six years at his alma mater, Davidson College in North Carolina. Dave earned his Ed.M. in Higher Education from Harvard University and has published articles in the New England Journal of Higher Education and the New England Board of Higher Education, and has served as a panelist at the National Association of College Admission Counseling annual conference. He began his work at Morehead-Cain in Fall 2013.
