Vice President for Enrollment Management

Loras College, a Catholic liberal arts college with 1600 students, is seeking a confident, forward-looking enrollment professional with substantial expertise to serve as its next Vice President for Enrollment Management. The Vice President reports directly to the President and oversees the offices of admissions, financial aid and institutional research.

As Iowa’s first college and the second oldest college west of the Mississippi, Loras College seeks broadened visibility to communicate its distinctive mission and achievements. Loras College offers more than 40 majors, minors and pre-professional areas of study, and resources and facilities are regularly enhanced to ensure a high-quality learning environment. The College is a member of NCAA Division III, offers 21 intercollegiate sports and consistently finishes in the top 15% of the Lierfield All-Sports Trophy competition. Loras College’s 65-acre campus stands atop one of the Mississippi River’s highest bluffs in historic Dubuque, at the junction of Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin. Dubuque, a progressive, sustainable city with a strong diversified economy and expanding global connections, has a population of 90,000 and is 1.5 hours from Madison, 3 hours from Chicago and Des Moines and 5 hours from Minneapolis-St. Paul. Candidates for this position should have a record of achievement, excellent communication skills, strong leadership and management skills, and the ability to deploy resources to enroll a qualified, diverse and engaged student population. Candidates should also be able to work collaboratively and maintain effective and inclusive working relationships. The new Vice President for Enrollment Management will be expected to advance the Catholic, liberal arts, residential and experiential mission and vision of the College. The ability to understand institutional culture and use it to greatest advantage will be a plus.
