Sandra J. Ware
A respected and admired enrollment professional, Sandy Ware joined Lahti Search Consultants in 2000 following a 14-year career in admissions. Most recently, she served as dean of admissions at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas, where colleagues and friends established a scholarship in her honor upon her departure from the university. Sandy was an active member of the Southern Consortium, a collection of 17 highly selective colleges and universities in the South, and she maintains close contact with those colleagues and others across the country. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and a J.D. from the University of Missouri.
Sandy brings a wealth of experience and skills to enrollment-related searches. Her ability to grasp what is unique about each campus’s culture and circumstances is legendary, enabling her to accurately assess matches with potential candidates. Sandy is especially adept at identifying and following the careers of “emerging talent” and rising stars, in addition to working with the most gifted enrollment veterans.
Valued by friends and colleagues for her sense of humor, Sandy also brings to her work keen analytical skills and an ability to maintain grace under pressure — gained by having practiced law and, of course, working in admissions.
In addition to the insights she has gained through her extensive experience in enrollment management, Sandy has a broad international perspective. She graduated from high school in Valencia, Venezuela, is fluent in Spanish, and continues to travel abroad. Her other interests include reading and politics.
Sandy is based in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
