Building on her career in higher education admissions at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, Barb Friedhoff joined Lahti Search Consultants in 2004. She is a valued specialist in interviewing candidate references – a key part of a comprehensive candidate review. She began her work with Lahti Search Consultants by identifying and cultivating qualified, experienced candidates for our clients.

Upon her graduation from Clarke College in Iowa, Barb traveled to Tokyo to serve as an English instructor. She started her career in enrollment management as an admissions counselor at Clarke and was soon elevated to associate director. She moved on to Hamline University in Minnesota as associate director of undergraduate admissions, followed by promotion to assistant dean in the graduate school. Barb capped her institutional employment as director of graduate admissions at Bradley University in Illinois.

Barb’s energy and gracious personality, combined with her broad knowledge of undergraduate and graduate admissions, ensure that candidates’ references welcome her calls. Because of her personal approach and sensitivity to the confidential nature of each call, references feel comfortable providing candid information about prospects and candidates – an invaluable resource for search committees.

Barb is based in Meadville, Pennsylvania.
